RCPK runs the Adarsh Ganesh Mandal Spardha for all the Ganesh Mandals and Society Mandals in the areas from Swargate to Katraj. The clubs are evaluated on the basis of various parameters including their focus on doing good to the society, the way in which they conduct during the festival, their concerns for environment, their fellow citizens etc. This year 124 Ganesh Mandals and Societies participated in the contest. All of these entries were visited by a team of Rotarians to evaluate the performance of Mandals and Societies on the various parameters decided. It was observed that the past winners proudly display that they have won this award previously. It was also noted that a lot of the participants are conscious of the social issues that are currently plaguing our state including but not limited to drought situation. A lot of them have altered their program to make sure that they are able to contribute positively to the issues.
