About Club
About Club:
Rotary Club of Pune Katraj came into existence vide RI charter on 16th May 1996 under the parent ship of RC Pune Tilak Road. The club was formed with 26 members under leadership of Rtn. Dr. R. P. Joshi.
The club has sponsored a 1 community based Rotract Club and 7 Interact Clubs in Pune.
Meeting Venue:Electronic Industrial Estate Hall, Satara Road, Pune
Meeting Time: Saturday, 7.30 to 9 P.M.
Charitable Trust:
The Rotary Club of Pune Katraj Charitable Trust was formed under the able leadership of the club Rotarians .The trust is registerd with the Charity Commissioner, Pune.The donations to the club are exempted under 80G of Income Tax.
Service Projects:
- Our club has under taken several Service Projects. These projects have been addressing Social, Environmental, Medical, Educational aspects of the community. Some of which are as follows:
- Dialysis Center at Lokmanya Hospital, Chinchwad
- Raksha Bandhan at Pune Vidyarthi Griha (Every Year)
- Adarsha Ganesh Mandal Competition (Every Year)
- Tree Plantation every year at various places
- Hemoglobin & Blood group Check up for school Children
- Eye Checkup, Distribution of the spectacles & Cataract surgeries for the needy people
- Construction of Knowledge centre at Yewalewadi School, thus providing a permanent place for RDEP activity in the Z.P.school of Yewalewadi
- Breast & Cervical Cancer Checkup & Treatment for lady workers
- Monthly General Checkup & Medicine Distribution at Amanora Park
- CPR Training Camps
- Kojagiri & Diwali Celebration with singers from Club
- Visit to Old Age homes
