RCP Katraj took the task of upgradation of old age home in Pune District who have been working on no-profit basis. Senior citizen face unwelcome unavoidable health and other challenges. Blessed are those who are taken care of by family that is what each wishes for. However, those who cannot do so themselves , cannot afford the cost of high end assisted homes and need special care are admitted to the oldage homes which run on non profit basis. Realizing the need of the hour for the increasing demand of such home and hence the required facilities, RCP Katraj shortlisted 5 oldage home namely - Sahajeevan - Bhugaon , Matruseva Sevabhavi Sanstha - Chinchwad , Aadharwad Ashram - Bhor, Mai Mauli care Centre - Kondhwa and Sahajeevan Oldage home - Dhankawadi. Medical equipment like bedside lockers, fowler beds was provided to them. Medical equipments like suction machines, oxygen concentrators, and other required equipment was also donated. a TOTAL OF 20 BEDSIDE LOCKERS, 15 FOWLER BEDS, 5 OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS, 1 BIG INVERTOR WITH CAPACITY OF 10 HOURS BACKUP, DRY RATION FOR ONE MONTH, 2 SUCTION MACHINES, WAS DONATED COLLECTIVELY TO ALL THESE OLDAGE HOME. Some of the facilities are located in remote areas and hence face heavy powercuts in summer season. An invertor was provided to these facilities to keep the tubes and fans running during the 8 hours powercut. This has provided the much required relief to the senior citizens in the scorching heat. RCP Katraj plans to take this initiative ahead in the years to come as a strategic plan.
