Rotary Club of Pune Katraj completed the Tree plantation Project with their Club members. We studied the plants supporting the Environment and got them from Devrai Nursery, Thevur, run by Shri Raghunathji Dhole, Awarded as 'A Tree Man'for his massive plantation project. We distributed around 30 Local Floral plants like Tamhan, Bakul, Waver, Bhava, Mehendi, Arjun, Karanji and Putranjiva which will grow as big trees in a year or two. Our Members have planted them in their bunglows, societies and also in Apartments in small pots temporarily and later these plants will be shifted into the land. Few members have planted Local shrubs like Tulsi or roses or hibiscus also. We are not only doing the beautification of the city by the plantation but also intending the birds to return back and nesting on these trees. Birds will increase species of these rear plants by seed transportation. In this way we are supporting the Environment, which is the need of time!
