A joint project for collection e-Waste was organized by Rotaractors and Rotrary Club of Pune Katraj along with SWaCH on 25th and 26th Oct 2013. The project was to collect electronic waste and dispose off in a correct manner. SWaCH is an organization that is working in the area of waste management and they are accredited organization by Pune Municipal Corporation for disposal of electronic waste. The Rotaract team members circulated messages and flyers to collect e-waste during designated days. SWaCH had provided bins for collection of electronic material and that was transported by them to the designated location for disposal. There was an overwhelming response during the two days of collection. Over 12 bins of electronic waste was collected and disposed during the two days. The effort of Rotaractors was appreciated by SWaCH.
