Rotaract club of Pune Katraj recently completed a project               💉 'MediKit 2018'💉 Emergency care is one of the most neglected aspect in rural India. First aid being the primary treatment during any injury can prevent serious illness and condition of worsening of an injury until further medical assistance is available and can save lives. Keeping its year long commitment towards service to humanity, Rotaract Club of Pune Katraj initiated a programme in which 50 emergency medical kits were donated to rural and underprivileged schools in and nearby Pune. The kit contained useful medicines, ointments, bandages, thermometer, antiseptic liquid and many other medical items. It was seen that the receiver teacher or staff member of the school is fully aware of the contents in the kit and was instructed about its use in necessary conditions. With this project club also participated in activities under Rotaract 50 (which is celebrating 50 glorious years of Rotaract). This project activity was covered in media and was very appreciated as it had a reach of more than 15000 school children as its beneficiaries. In this project we donated 50 First Aid/ Medicine Kits to various needy schools in and around Pune.
