Thursday, 12 May 2022, the day arrived. We, Rotary Club of Pune Katraj, had donated 30 electronic educational kits worth Rs 45,000/- each to Seetabai Patwardhan Sainik School at Kurundwad, and it was the day of inauguration. We 19 members decided to go to Kurundwad and left Pune at 6 am sharp. On the way we had sumptuous breakfast arranged by Rupali. We reached School at 12 noon. We were greeted by the eye catching lezim show by the students. The show was so good that we members and others started clapping with the rhythm. We praised the students and teachers by having a group photo of all. Pushkaraj was sitting among the students. Then we entered the main hall. Mr Shirodkar and others told the history of the school and glorious students past. They also narrated the hardships during the floods when help arrived from all corners. After the function, we were offered lunch, which could not be described by words. All students had praised the school, teaching, teachers, and lunch. We experienced it. Typical Wadi lunch. So tasty and sumptuous. We were fully satiated. From there we proceeded to Alas where the units were installed and we saw the trial. Each classroom equipment was inaugurated by one member. Thus all got the opportunity of inauguration. The faces of students were glowing with joy. We had the pleasure of having a group photo with students and staff. Then we proceeded to Nrusinh Wadi for Datta Darshan. We offered prayers and offerings. Sat in the mandap Devachiye Dwari. Then proceeded to Pune to reach at midnight. It was really a memorable event, the education kit donation, outing, Datta Darshan and fellowship.
