Village Gundalwadi, Tal : Khed. is located on Bhimashankar road which receives heavy rainfall but the water is washed away due to lack of proper storage and the village faces scarcity of water in Summer season. During the heavy rains of 2015, a retaining wall of the percolation tank was washed away and water started gushing in the adjoining farms thus destroying the land as well as crop causing huge financial damages. Rotary club of Pune Katraj decided to renovate the percolation tank at the cost of 1.5 lakhs. The retaining wall was also completely rebuild. The project will also help to increase the water table to the nearby wells and borewells as well as provide ample water to adjoining farms.
